Why did you get into chiropractic?

There are few people who significantly influence your life. My Father is the person who has helped guide my actions and decisions. He has been a loyal chiropractic patient for as long as I can remember. Being an avid golfer he would seek chiropractic care to keep him playing and performing well.  Because of my Dad’s commitment to chiropractic care, I grew up learning and watching the benefits of hands-on manual therapy. I wanted to help people move better and improve their quality of life like my Dad’s chiropractor has done for him.

Tell us about your practice. Where, and what do you specialize in?

We have office locations in Golden and Lakewood, Colorado.

I specialize in foot and ankle biomechanics and am passionate about the interface between the foot and earth.  It amazes me how our feet and walking/running gait affect the kinetic chain. We have a state of the art Optogait system in our office with which I can see parts of the gait cycle that can not been seen by the human eye.  The information provided by the Optogait helps me make better decisions for my patients so they can return after injury or improve their performance.

What was your first experience with RockTape?

I hurt my back several years ago and was treated using RockTape.  I loved the way RockTape helped me recover from my injury and started to use RockTape with my patients.

How do you use RockTape in your practice?

I use RockTape on almost every patient. I use RockTape to stimulate my patients neurosensory system, improve their posture, decrease their discomfort*, and get them to PERFORM better.

What’s your favorite RockTape pattern/product/etc?

I love treating for ankle stability and foot dysfunction.  I recently completed a 1/2 Ironman in Calgary and had my knees, ankles and back taped for the entire race.

What’s the most interesting injury/dysfunction you’ve taped for?

I am currently treating one of the top rock climbers in the world. He had poor shoulder stability/biomechanics.  He is now an avid RockTape believer because of the stability the tape provided while still allowing full range of motion.

If you could change one behavior of your patients, what would it be?

None. My patients rock. It is not up to me to change behavior. I am here to guide and educate them so they can live a healthy lifestyle.

Where do you think Chiropractic care is headed? What’s the future of it?

Movement based assessment, evaluation and treatment. We are movement specialists and we have the ability to help athletes perform at their peak.  We also have the ability to help non-athletes life a healthy lifestyle. WHAT A GIFT.  🙏
